VISA missionary in Tacna, Peru
Tanya Metzler is a VISA missionary who began an 18-month stay in Tacna, Peru, in August. Tanya ministers under the leadership of the local pastor, Geovanna, and assists in the youth and children’s programs in the local Free Methodist church. She is also involved in small group ministry. Local leadership is mentoring her as she continues to build on her ministry experience, which includes past leadership in the Jackson Comunidad Agua Viva church plant. Tanya is a SAU graduate.
Prayer Requests:
- The church property construction that is in the last stages for now with a VISA team coming from Seattle in May. Also pray for the first services that will be taking place in the building that it would have an impact on the community around the property, Ciudad Perdida, and help to consolidate those that are already a part of the church.
- The youth of the Tacna, FMC. That they would continue to grow after the youth conference. That they would be consolidated and have strong daily walks with the Lord.
- The women’s ministry that has been begun in the last few months reaching out to the mother’s of the youth that are in the church.
- Pray for Pastor Geovanna that she would have the wisdom to guide the church through this period of consolidation.
