The Owsley family has been in west central Brazil for four years. Their chief assignment has been leadership training, but they have found many ministry avenues.”
Hope and Dan trained future pastors and lay leaders at the newly formed Free Methodist Bible School. Dan was the interim director. While they served mainly in the Central FMC of Cuiabá, they also supported several church plants. Dan preached, and Hope helped with children’s ministries and adult education. Hope is receiving training as an Inductive Bible Study Leader and continues to do some translating for Brazil’s International Child Care Ministries. The Owsleys will begin a one-year home assignment in July.

- The Free Methodist Bible School in Cuiaba; Pastor Jose Carlos Moura is acting interim director
- Safety in travel during the year to visit supporting churches
- The Lord’s future leading after the Owsleys complete their assignment in Cuiaba
- The four Owsley boys making adjustments to new schooling situations
- The Lord to help the Owsleys share about His work in such a way as to inspire listeners to be more interested in missions
