Mentoring Tip of the Week

CONNECTING WITH KIDS HOPE USA FAMILIES
A few times each year we are blessed with the privilege of getting together with the families of our Mentees. Today, at our Grad Party, is one of those times. Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to get to know the family of your Mentee. Enjoy our picnic with them and extend a hearty welcome. This is the perfect time and place to SHOW who Jesus is through our actions.

HOW LONG DO I KEEP MEETING WITH MY MENTEE?
Several of you have asked this important question in recent weeks. I encourage everyone to continue meeting with your Mentee through the end of the school year, June 8. However, classroom schedules can include many extracurriculars at this time of year. Check with your Mentee’s teacher to see if there is anything that will take your student out of the classroom on your mentoring day. If you can’t meet like normal, try to attend one of the special activities listed above and show support of your Mentee. He or she will be very glad to have you there!
