MC’s Defined

Missional Communities meet to spur one another on toward love and good deeds

Missional Communities:

  • Consists of 3 – 20 people who meet anytime and anywhere
  • Typically meet every other week to study, learn, pray, and encourage one another with God’s Word through Bible study, book study, support group, service group, or interest group
  • On alternate weeks we love our neighbors and/or serve the community.  Each missional community chooses what these weeks of loving service entails for their group. A compilation of agencies and serving opportunities in the Jackson area is available by clicking here

We believe Missional Communities are essential because:

  • We grow to be more like Christ when we’re together than when we’re alone
  • Our witness together is more than our witness alone
  • Community means everyone is invited to belong and contribute as some level

To join an existing Missional Community, or to form a new community, contact Sherrie Hittler or call the office at 517.750.2400
