Service Opportunities

Children Ministries

Sunday School Aide: Be a helper to Sunday School teachers of 4 year olds – (no teaching involved)

Kids Club Opportunity: An opportunity for an adult to serve in Kids Club on Weds from 6:15 – 7:30. You would lead the small group segment for 6-8 4th graders with follow up activities after the main presentation by Steve and Dan for all children in the gym.

Nursery Aides Needed: Helping and holding little ones while their parents worship is a vital role at SAFMC. You could be one of the wonderful volunteers to help make this possible. More warm hands and hearts are needed on Sundays during the 9:00; 10:00 and 11:15 services as well as 6:00 Sunday evening. Contact Renee Ericksen Nursery Coordinator to begin helping in this ministry

Working with children requires all to take the Safety course and have attended here regularly for at least 6 months.

Nursery Sanitizers Needed: Come in to the nurseries on Thursday or Friday between 8:00 and 5:00. This job entails using sanitizing wipes, cleaning large toys, tables, chairs, etc in rooms and putting cleaning solution in laundry tub and place all the cups & mouth toys in tub to soak. Wash and set on towels to drain.

If interested in any of the above ministries, please contact Dottie Miller

Teen Ministries

Jr. Team Coaches Needed: Jr. Team Coaches are responsible for leading a group of 5-10 students each Sunday night. The teams are designed to be same-sex groups that will meet at the beginning of each Sunday evening for the purpose of welcoming students and fostering friendships with them. Jr. Team coaches take attendance, allow students to share about his/her week and pray specifically for the needs of each student. The time commitment is 2-3 hours per week.

Cell Group Leaders Needed: The cell groups begin for the teens when they enter into 7th grade and continue on through high school graduation. These same-sex, same-grade small groups exist for the purpose of care and accountability. Ideally, each group will have the same leaders for the duration of their middle and high school years. You can imagine the incredible bond that’s created and the priceless investment!

If interested, please contact Kara Riggleman for more information.
