Baptism

If you are interested in being baptized, we rejoice with you and ask you to attend ‘Encountering God: Getting Started’ (see side bar “Encountering God Classes”)

Upon completion of the ‘Getting Started’ class, we ask you to attend ‘Encountering God: Apostles’ Creed’. The Apostles’ Creed clarifies the faith in which you will be baptized – and it is recited at the time of baptism.

Membership

We value church membership as part of one’s journey as a disciple of Jesus.

If you have already been baptized and are a mature believer, we require you to attend the ‘Discover SAFMC’ seminar (see below) and the ‘Encountering God: Missional Living’ class (see side bar “Encountering God Classes”).

If you have not yet been baptized, we also ask that you attend the baptism classes: ‘Encountering God: Getting Started’ and ‘Encountering God: Apostles’ Creed’ (see side bar “Encountering God Classes”).

Any of our pastors will be glad to talk with you about your baptism or membership interests.
